Hand painted silk using natural dyes that I made from plants, bugs and trees. Some of the colours are from black berry leaves and onion peels. The blue colour comes from Indigo, a plant with a very special dyeing process separate from any other natural dye. The reds, pinks and purples are from Madder, Cochineal and Lac.
This series of paintings were designed to be wearable art, which is why they aren't framed. They look great around the neck or on your head, some people even wear them on their wrist!
Each painting is an original and is safe for the wash.
