Collection: SILK PAINTINGS
Wild Rags is my latest body of work, it was created using natural dyes I made from plants, bugs and trees, and wax on silk. It was the work from Winter 2025 - Winter 2026.
I use a process called BATIK which is where you layer hot wax over dye to preserve the colours and layer from lightest to darkest to create a variety on your fabric.
This series is a play on shapes and colours, in an attempt to simplify design and create repeat patterns that look beautiful worn. Also bringing out some of my favourite shapes from my larger pieces to focus on.
All these paintings are on silk with the intention to wear around your neck, or head. They are safe to be washed.
