Founder/Maker
Amber lives and works in the qathet region of British Columbia as a Mystical Alchemist, also recognized as an Herbalist, Designer, and Educator. She loves to harvest plants from the local rainforest to make medicine and beauty care products, her children are often alongside her on these adventures and the moon is imprinted in her formulas.
Wild Spirit Apothecary opened in 2018 and continues to provide the local community, and the interweb of humans, with plant-based medicine and botanical beauty care products. The Apothecary is run by Amber and her apprentice, Rachel and it offers a workshop series on how to make natural medicine in various forms, it also offers apprenticeship programs where you choose topics to explore and, work on product development during weekly in-person sessions.
Amber believes plants are here to support people through life’s challenges and that it is important to share this timeless information so everyone can live in harmony with the tools to heal themselves and their communities.
Over the past thirteen years, Amber has studied with Aviva Romm, Rosemary Gladstar, Sarah Hooff, Bruce Berkowsky, and Rebecca Altman.
All products created in Wild Spirit Apothecary are infused with positive loving vibrations.
Apprentice/Maker
Rachel Grey has always had a deep appreciation of food as medicine. Growing up in a wild, remote inlet just outside North Vancouver, she was heavily imprinted by her mom’s herb garden that was quite literally carved out of a mountainside.
When Rachel moved to Powell River around 2011, her horizons were blown wide open in regards to wild crafting and plant medicine. After years of admiring Amber’s works in the apothecary from far and near, the stars finally aligned and an apprenticeship formed. Still enamoured with the healing properties of herbs as food medicine, Rachel also just can’t resist a good salve, balm, or lotion!
Involving her three young kids in all manners of herbal medicine, growing, and foraging is a huge part of her day to day parenting. Rachel and her family run a small hobby farm and apiary just outside of the city with an extensive herb garden. Plans for the future involve studying herbalism more in depth, as well as an interest in holistic nutrition and hopefully a small scale food business of some kind.

Leah was introduced to the world of herbal medicine through Pacific Rim College in Victoria, BC where she completed her training as a Community Herbalist in 2020. She has a passion for sharing her knowledge of plant medicine and loves to create products that inspire others to take charge of their health. Leah wants to empower you to harness your health and vitality with the help of our herbal allies and to experience the healing powers of Mother Nature.
