Medicine Making Afternoon
Come join us for this fun afternoon of learning how to make medicine. We will work with plants to make Tinctures and Oxymels. I will talk about how I design my formulas and teach you some of the basics of designing your formulas based on your health needs and your spirit.
Tinctures are a way to extract the medicinal properties from plants using alcohol.
Oxymels are a combination of Honey and Apple Cider Vinegar used to extract medicinal properties from plants.
You will earn the benefits of using Tinctures and Oxymels as a natural medicine and which method is better suited for each plant.

Wellness Bundle
It's that time of year folks, time to be proactive in your health and also time to rest. A series of 5 in-person workshops led by Amber Friedman, Founder of Wild Spirit Apothecary, teachings on how to work with plants to • Wildcraft • Prepare Traditional Medicines • Blend Herbs into Medicinal Teas • Make Natural Body Care Products.
You will go home with the knowledge to make your own medicine along with a Collection of Herbal Products we make in the series.

Founder/Maker
Amber lives and works in the qathet district of British Columbia as a Mystical Alchemist, also recognized as an Herbalist, Designer, and Educator. She loves to harvest plants from the local rainforest to make medicine and beauty care products, her children are often alongside her on these adventures and the moon is imprinted in her formulas.
Wild Spirit Apothecary opened in 2018 and continues to provide the local community, and the interweb of humans, with plant-based medicine and botanical beauty care products. The Apothecary is run by Amber and her apprentice, Rachel and it offers a workshop series on how to make natural medicine in various forms, it also offers apprenticeship programs where you choose topics to explore and, work on product development during weekly in-person sessions.
Amber believes plants are here to support people through life’s challenges and that it is important to share this timeless information so everyone can live in harmony with the tools to heal themselves and their communities.

Over the past thirteen years, Amber has studied with Aviva Romm, Rosemary Gladstar, Sarah Hooff, Bruce Berkowsky, and Rebecca Altman.
Apprentice/Maker 2019-2021
Leah was introduced to the world of herbal medicine through Pacific Rim College in Victoria, BC where she completed her training as a Community Herbalist in 2020. Since then, she has been working to deepen her knowledge of plant medicine through an apprenticeship with Amber at Wild Spirit Apothecary. In January 2021 she returned to school and is training to become a Certified Medical Herbalist and Holistic Nutritionist. She has a passion for sharing her knowledge of plant medicine and loves to create products that inspire others to take charge of their health. Leah wants to empower you to harness your health and vitality with the help of our herbal allies and to experience the healing powers of Mother Nature.
